UK Honors Program 51st Anniversary Celebration

On September 7 and 8, 2012, the UK Honors Program will once again welcome students, past and present, and celebrate our 51st Anniversary.  The four important themes at the heart of UK Honors will be celebrated:  Continuity, Communication, Community and Creativity.

Mini colloquies will be held on Saturday.

    • HP Dorms:  A Living Community by Jennifer Cramer
    • Life Writing:  Your Life as Story by Leatha Kendrick
  • Communication
    • Communicating with the Past:  Geology and its Impact on Kentucky by Frank Ettensohn
    • You Ain't from Round Here:  Cultural pathways and communicating with Yankees (and other foreigners) by William "Drew" Andrews
  • Community
    • Family Farming in the 21st Century by Sue Churchill and John Wilholt
    • Building Lexington's Community by Jeff Fugate and Lester Miller
  • Creativity
    • Creativity is the Key:  Honors, Music, Law and Politics by Doug Martin
    • Humanities, Science and Healthcare by Jack Challis
